Québec's first wind energy industry gala finalists now known

  • The Wind Energy TechnoCentre today made public the names of the finalists for Québec's first wind energy industry gala, presented by Hydro-Québec, which will be held on May 7 in Matane as part of the Wind energy industry conference: Develop, Innovate, Export. This first Gala aims to salute the organisations and individuals that have made particularly outstanding contributions to the wind power sector in Québec over the past three years.

CORUS Centre joins forces with LM Glasfiber, world giant in wind turbine blade manufacturing, to conduct a research project

  • The CORUS Centre, LM Glasfiber Canada and the Ion Beam Laboratory (LAFI), a branch of the National Scientific Research Institute (INRS), have joined forces to develop a surface treatment process to reduce the formation and accumulation of ice on the external structures of wind turbines.

CTTC designation confirms the designated region's leading role in Québec's wind energy industry

  • The Ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport announced its recognition of the Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles and the Wind Energy TechnoCentre as the wind power technology transfer centre. The Wind Energy TechnoCentre will be responsible for managing the administrative aspects of this CTTC. The new centre will be an extension of the scientific activity conducted by the CORUS Centre: applied research, the development of products and services and technology transfer.
