Technostrobe obstruction beacon validation and technological showcase

The client,Technostrobe, manufactures obstruction lighting systems to protect structures that represent a potential obstacle to air traffic. Technostrobe has developed a new generation of LED beacons for the wind energy industry. The TechnoCentre éolien accompanied Technostrobe as it tested the device to make sure it functions properly on wind turbines in northern weather conditions.


Development and certification process for brake pads with B.B High performance Brake Pads

B.B High performance Brake Pads is the first potential Canadian manufacturer of brake pads for large wind turbines. They will manufacture brake pads for large wind turbines that generate at least 1 megawatt of energy. The project is designed to finalise development of the product and validate the technical characteristics of the brake pads on a dynamic test bench and in real conditions on a large wind turbine. The TechnoCentre éolien is assisting the enterprise in the product testing and validation process that will ultimately lead to its certification.


Testing and validation of the Turbine PHD condition monitoring system produced by NRG Systems

NRG Systems is currently working to develop a Turbine Health Monitoring (THM) system. The alpha prototype of this product has to be tested on an operating wind turbine. The TechnoCentre éolien installed the NRG system on one of its REpower MM92 wind turbines and is assisting the company as it tests and validates its system.


The TechnoCentre éolien also works on technical assistance projects subject to confidentiality agreements with the enterprises involved.
